Frequently asked

What's the difference between sequential and all-of?
Sequential means: approver A → then B → then C, each is notified only after the previous one approved. All-of means: A, B and C all get the request at once, all three must approve, order doesn't matter. Any-of means: any one of the three is enough.
What if an approver is sick or quits?
A deputy is configurable per approver role. Workflows don't pause but route automatically to the deputy. After multi-day inactivity, the HR lead is escalated.
Can we build our own workflows?
Yes — via the workflow editor. Define steps (capture data, approver step, run action), connect, test. Save as template and reuse.
What are the standard workflows?
Onboarding (12 steps: contract, bexio sync, doc vault, IT setup, …), offboarding (10 steps: final payroll, reference letter, doc-hold, …), salary increase (4 steps with management approval), promotion, sick leave, address change.
How does it integrate with bexio?
Workflows can run a bexio sync as a step — e.g. onboarding automatically creates bexio Contact + Payroll entry. Salary increase syncs the new salary after management approval. 141 backend tests verify the integration.
